Project: CN 18932 – Pavement Rehabilitation at Henderson Drive & Palmerston Highway || Location: near Innisfail, Queensland, within the Cassowary Coast Region. || Principal Contractor: HEH Civil Pty Ltd || Role: Major Sub-Contractor || Contract Value - $ 2.7M. || Completion Date: April 2023.

Construction of cement modified roadbase with SMA asphalt top and seal to both the Palmerston Highway and Henderson Drive Bypass. Works also included pavement drainage, storm water and widenings.

Challenge 1: Project required complex traffic management

Detailed traffic management plans were pre approved to tailor to high traffic areas and to maintain steady flow of traffic. Palmerston Highway serves as the main artery linking the Atherton tablelands to coastal hubs, essential for trade, travel and regional resilience.
